Om Amira, also known as “Amira’s Mother,” resides on one of the rooftops in Downtown with her husband, Gamal, and their two daughters. Faced with no other choice, she had to summon her strength to provide for her family, especially her daughter who suffers from a heart disease.

Om Amira, affectionately referred to as the “Potatoes Lady,” sells homemade fried potato sandwiches on a side street. Her business operates from nightfall until the break of dawn, illuminating the streets of the sleepless city.
